Setting Personal Phone Numbers in ctcLink – Students
How to set your personal phone number in ctcLink + receive emergency text/call alerts
In order to receive the Highline Alerts to your phone, or receive text messages from other college systems such as Aviso, your phone numbers must be accurate in ctcLink. Please mark the phone number at which you would prefer to receive non-emergency phone calls as ‘Preferred.’
For emergency alerts, the Regroup system will deliver a phone call to any mobile or home number, and a text message to any mobile number or home number which is SMS capable. For non-emergency text messages, the mobile number will be used.
Step 1
In your student homepage in ctcLink, select the ‘Profile‘ tile to view and update your Contact Details.
Step 2
Once in the ‘Profile’ tile, click on the ‘Contact Details‘ button. Use the plus (+) symbol to add a mobile or home number. Any SMS capable number listed as ‘home‘ or ‘mobile‘ will receive text alert messages and a phone call alert. If you prefer to be called on a particular number listed, mark it as ‘Preferred.’
Step 3
If the rest of the information is correct click the ‘Save‘ button. You’re ready to receive HC Text Alert.
Note: If you would like to specify your communication preferences for emergency alerts, please set those preferences in Regroup after your ctcLink data is updated.
